Lasers have become an integral part of patient care in dentistry, are you ready to learn this skill and add it to your resume? The ODU School of Dental Hygiene’s Laser Training Course for the Dental Hygienist is designed to prepare licensed dental hygienists to implement diode laser therapy into dental hygiene practice while earning 6 continuing education hours. The course will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, 9AM-4:30PM, in person in the new, state-of-the-art Dental Simulation Laboratory and Dental Hygiene Care Facility found in Ellmer College of Health Sciences building on the main campus of 91°µÍø.

Lecture will be followed by hands-on practice with several diode laser models under the direct supervision of faculty. Participant knowledge will be evaluated through testing at the conclusion of the course. A score of 75% or higher must be achieved to successfully complete the course. A $25 retest fee will be assessed for any additional attempts needed to achieve a score of 75% or higher.
