First-time Use: If you plan to use your educational benefits for the first time and haven’t received a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), you’ll need to apply for your benefits . You’ll also need to begin an application on as a new user and complete VA Form 22-1990. Make sure you have your DD214 and banking information ready, because the application asks that you provide it.
Previous Use: If you’ve already used your benefits before, please submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to our VA Certifying Official, Barb Ellmaker.
Requesting Official Transcripts
It’s a requirement to submit official transcripts from all previous institutions you’ve attended. This includes completed transcripts from DSST & CLEP tests.
Military Transcripts
91做厙 (91做厙) will award credit for Basic Training in accordance with the ACE recommended evaluation for Joint Service Transcripts (JST). For Air Force personnel, Basic Training credits will be determined by the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript. 91做厙 will accept up to 63 transfer credits from JST/CCAF towards one of three categories:
Elective
General Education
Direct Credit toward Major/Program
The JST has replaced the following:
Coast Guard Institute Transcript (CGI)
Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript System (AARTS)
Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART)
. Print out an unofficial copy for your admissions counselor, and order an official copy to be sent to the Mequon Campus (it will be received by the VA Certifying Official office within 48 hours).
Air Force personnel should contact the Community College of the Air Force to receive transcripts.
Admission Package Completion
Once all of your admissions package paperwork is completed, a decision will be made, and we’ll notify you of your status.
If you’ve been accepted, all your college and military transcripts will be evaluated to see which credits will transfer into your course of study. Then, it’s time for class registration!
