The First-Generation and Social Mobility Committee is dedicated to identifying, building awareness, engaging, and celebrating first-generation college students through inclusive initiatives. It focuses on collaboration among faculty and administrators to advance social mobility practices for underserved populations, including first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented minority students. By developing division-wide programs, initiatives, and recommendations, the committee is actively creating a supportive environment for these populations. Members should be passionate about equity in education and contributing to an inclusive, asset-based environment for students to thrive.
